Jen Stone-Sexton, Founder & Christian Life Coach

Have you ever felt like you wanted to create change in your life ... but you just didn't know where to begin? You're not alone in that feeling.

It's exactly how I felt in 2015 when I partnered with my first life coach on my journey to move from stuck to unstuck in my work, my purpose, and the pursuit of my dreams. It was truly a transformative process.

Through coaching I was equipped and encouraged to do life differently as we laid a solid foundation that continues to influence the decisions I make today. Being coached from a Christian perspective completely shifted the trajectory of the choices I was making...and continues to influence the decisions I make today.

Q: Tell us a bit about your family, where you live, what you enjoy doing as a family and how you love to spend some of your downtime.

My husband and I live near Nashville, Tennessee with our dog and have been married 10 years. I have two amazing adult stepsons and daughter-in-law nearby and family in other states. We enjoy watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee, reading, traveling, soaking in time at the beach, hiking in the mountains and spending time with our family and friends gathered around our farmhouse table.

Q: What drew you to coaching?

The answer is three-fold. First, experiencing how coaching provided the support, guidance and insight to move in the direction of my dreams. Second, the awareness that I have been coaching and teaching in just about everything I do for most of my life. Third and most importantly, having walked out the arduous journey of overcoming trauma and the resulting shame, lies, insecurity, fear, unclear purpose, chasing after what would never truly satisfy, and relentlessly striving for acceptance and a sense of worth – and the desire to help others move forward into their purpose and potential.

Q: What is one thing you believe women struggle with today inhibiting them from utilizing the abilities God has given them to forge a unique path - and what is your advice to equip them?

I believe the root of many things that women struggle with is fear. Fear of not being enough. Fear of not measuring up. Fear of not having our needs met or having what we think we want, so we exert a lot of futile energy in an attempt to control everything and everyone around us. Fear of success. Fear of failure. Fear of what others think. Fear of missing out. Fear of taking risks. Fear of saying, “No.” to others and “Yes” to themselves and that gentle whisper of the heart. The fear that if they are authentic and real, they won’t be loved. Fear of facing what is holding them back from living their purpose, embracing their dreams, being fully present, and developing their God-given potential.

Here’s what I have learned: the fear doesn’t just go away, and courage is a daily decision. Faith and fear are choices. While it is important to acknowledge the fear – to be honest with yourself and face it instead of running away from it - it is equally important to not let it run your life. Fear is often there to protect you. The question is - protect you from what? Living in fear shrinks your life. Living in faith expands it. If you want to move forward toward your goals, dreams, vision, and purpose it’s a choice to trust God, to feel the fear and do it anyway! Having a coach and others who believe in you, provide honest feedback, accountability and strategies to move forward can make all the difference.

Q: How do you define success?

Success to me is faithfulness - living fully in my purpose, developing the potential God placed in me to be the woman He created me to be and to do what He has called me to do, and trusting Him fully in every area of my life.

Q: What is your professional background and how you do you help coaching clients?

My professional background encompasses many years, seasons and varied experiences, which I have come to realize were all preparing me for coaching and being an entrepreneur. I graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and spent several years teaching voice lessons and singing professionally as well as establishing a private voice studio. After I re-located to Nashville, I worked in the legal profession for nearly 20 years as paralegal and also became a certified Yoga instructor teaching classes on the side. Office work eventually emptied my soul and left me feeling stuck and frustrated. I longed for the freedom to fulfill the dreams I held in my heart and to feel I was making a difference. When everything changed in 2020, I took a leap of faith and pursued a Christian Life Coach Certification and launched this professional practice to bring the dream of coaching into reality. I am also a writer, teacher, speaker, and continue to sing.

What I found on my inner journey was that the love, compassion, and grace of Jesus Christ was the bridge to healing, wholeness, truth, peace, purpose, joy, genuine acceptance, unconditional love, and the freedom to flourish. I partner with you to walk across the bridge away from your fears, struggles, stress, and striving toward living in freedom with clarity, confidence and purpose.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and

do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

- Galatians 5:1

Bridget Anderson, Christian Life & Relationship Coach

Do you feel like no matter what, it's not enough?

Are you feeling overwhelmed by life and perhaps underwhelmed by God? This feeling of being overwhelmed manifests differently, but my clients often have the feeling that nothing they do is enough. Life feels demanding.

Are you stressed or anxious, unable to be present in your present? You are not alone. God hasn’t stepped out. He is with you and wants to show you exactly where He is so that you can live in His fullness.

Q: Tell us a bit about your family, where you live, what you enjoy doing as a family and how you love to spend some of your downtime.

I live in beautiful Chester County, Pennsylvania outside of Philadelphia with my husband of 30+ years, my two daughters and up to three dogs, depending on who is home at the time. I was blessed to homeschool my daughters who are both out in the big wide world these days. My oldest daughter is finishing up law school and my youngest daughter is a missionary to college campuses across the United States. I’m certain we’ll all be in ministry one day together as a family one day but until then, Wayne and I are enjoying traveling, spending time at the beach and soaking up family time as often as possible.

Q: What drew you to coaching?

Coming through childhood trauma and decades of living in the fallout from that, I always thought my story just happened to me. In my own personal “Road to Emmaus” I truly encountered the love of our Abba who gently showed me where He had been in those difficult times. That began a conversation that hasn’t stopped. As a Christian life coach, I want to help other women learn to see where God is for them and to live in the life-changing freedom of knowing Him.

Q: What is one thing you believe women struggle with today inhibiting them from utilizing the abilities God has given them to forge a unique path - and what is your advice to equip them?

As women we try to be and do everything for so many people. We live in the constant demand we put on ourselves or have thrust upon us. We spread ourselves thin across relationships, roles, jobs and duties. But Jesus is saying to us today what He said thousands of years ago: only one thing is needed. I’d like to show women what living in the rest and supply of Christ looks like and how to carry that rest into all your relationships.

Q: How do you define success?

Living peacefully in rich relationships is living successfully.

Q: What is your professional background and how you do you help coaching clients?

I have a background in teaching with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Master of Education. I'm a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the author of The Longing for Belonging, Giving Up Ashes to Find Beauty.

As a Certified Christian Life Coach, with special training as a Relationship Coach from Charis Bible College, I help you recognize God's Presence and love in your own life. Every relationship we have flows from the relationship we have with our Heavenly Father. Whether you are struggling in your marriage, are a stressed-out parent, or dealing with other relationship issues, coaching can help provide the tools, resources and feedback so you can flourish in your life.

They shall still bear fruit in old age, they shall be fresh and flourishing, to declare that the Lord is upright.
