A gentle invitation to step away from the noise and return to rest, presence, and peace in God's love.

ree

"Then Jesus said, 'Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.'” — Mark 6:31 (NLT)

The invitation is simple, but sacred: “Come away.”

Jesus spoke these words to His disciples after a season of pouring out, when their energy was spent and their souls were weary. And He speaks them to us still.

Come away from the noise.

Come away from the striving.

Come away from the endless to-do list.

Rest is not a reward for finishing everything. It is a rhythm of grace woven into the heart of God.

When we rest, we return.

We return to presence.

To peace.

To our first love.

Rest is not just physical. It is spiritual.

It’s the soul-deep knowing that even when we step back, God continues to move.

A Gentle Prompt:

Where is your soul weary right now?

Where do you sense God calling you to step away, even just for a moment?

Write out a prayer of surrender or a simple “yes” to His invitation.

Even a five-minute pause can be a sacred act of trust.

Prayer:

Father, Teach me the beauty of sacred rest. Help me resist the lie that my worth is tied to my work. Show me what it means to truly come away with You—to rest, restore, and realign. Quiet the noise, calm my heart, and remind me that You are God… and I am held. Amen.
